Sukhorosov Yuri Leonidovich (1939-2002) 80th anniversary of birth
Sukhorosov Yuri Leonidovich was born on April 29, 1939. Since April 1962, after graduating from the Kuybyshev Aviation Institute, he began working at the Stupinsky Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering as a design engineer. In 1967 he was appointed head of the design team for propellers, and in 1968 — the department for the development of propellers and ballscrews. In 1970, the young head became deputy chief designer, and in 1972 — first deputy chief designer — deputy head of the enterprise.
The results of successful work by Sukhorosov Yu.L. in many respects determined the day of the enterprise. Under his direct supervision were created:
— a family of unique screw converters for aircraft with variable wing sweep: MiG-23, Su-24, Tu-22M, Tu-144, Tu-160, etc .;
— a family of lifting and moving systems for hovercraft: «Skat», «Bison», «Dzheyran», «Squid», «Omar» and «Moray». For solving this problem in November 1978, Sukhorosov Yu.L. awarded the USSR State Prize.
— A new generation of propellers and rotor fans with blades made of polymer composite materials.
— a family of competitive APU of a new generation of three standard sizes. The presence of such a family allows the enterprise to create modifications and models (their total number has already exceeded 20) for equipping aviation and helicopter equipment.
Since 1984, Sukhorosov Yu.L. is the chief designer — head of the Stupinsky Design Bureau (now SPE Aerosila, PJSC). Fruitful activity (he is the author of 164 inventions), aimed at solving state problems, is marked by Government awards — orders of the Badge of Honor and the Red Banner of Labor. In 1989, he was awarded the title “Honorary Aircraft Builder”, and for scientific work on the propfan subjects Yu.L. Sukhorosov awarded the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. Scientific works and practical results have significantly enriched the school of domestic screw building.
Inherent to Sukhorosov Yu.L. a state approach and commitment in carrying out any tasks, determination and high work capacity, excellent organizational skills and wide technical erudition, a skillful combination of exactingness for subordinates with humanity ensured him a high authority of the leader not only in the team of SPE Aerosila, but throughout the country’s aviation community .
Sukhorosov Yu.L. is the same age with the enterprise and all his 40 years of labor activity was inextricably linked with SPE Aerosila.
